What Is a White label catalog design

White label catalog design, Defined

White label catalog design is when a specialist design team creates product catalogs, service guides, and lookbooks on behalf of a digital agency. The finished catalog, including all spreads, covers, and print-ready PDF files, is delivered under the agency’s brand. The end client receives the catalog as work done by the agency and never interacts with Nova and More.

A catalog is a large format design project that requires a structured approach to work at scale. A product catalog needs a grid system that makes every product spread read consistently, regardless of how many SKUs are on the page. A service guide needs a hierarchy that guides the reader from section to section without visual fatigue. A lookbook needs a cover and flow that communicate the brand’s positioning before a word is read. Each catalog type has its own design requirements that only a designer who works with large format documents regularly will get right across the full page count.

Every catalog we deliver includes both a print-ready PDF and a screen-optimized PDF for digital distribution. Source files in InDesign are packaged with all linked assets so the client can update product information or pricing for future editions. We serve US and EU agencies only. Every project starts with an NDA before any client product data or brand materials are shared.

Where Things Go Wrong

Your client needs a catalog. It is a large project with a fixed deadline.

Large Page Count Requires Process

A 40-page product catalog is not a brochure at a larger scale. It requires a production process: a master grid, reusable spread templates, consistent styling rules, and a system for handling product data across every page. Without that structure, catalog projects run over timeline and produce inconsistent results across the page range.

Print and Digital Versions Are Different

A catalog that goes to a commercial printer and a catalog that gets emailed to prospects require different PDF preparation. Print needs CMYK color, 300 DPI images, bleed, and crop marks. Digital needs RGB color, compressed file size, hyperlinked navigation, and interactive bookmarks. They are not the same file with a different export setting.

Product Photography Consistency Is Critical

A product catalog is only as strong as the consistency of its imagery. Products need to be presented at the same scale, against the same background treatment, with the same color relationships across every spread. When photography is inconsistent, the layout system that holds the catalog together stops working and the result looks assembled rather than designed.

How It Works

Brief to catalog delivery
in three steps

01
Step One

Brief and Content Structure

You share the client brief, product or service data, photography assets, brand guidelines, and the page count or scope of the catalog. We review the content against the format and plan the section structure, spread types, and template system before any design work begins. If photography is inconsistent or insufficient for the page count, we flag it at this stage before it becomes a problem mid-project.

02
Step Two

Design and Spreads

We design the cover and key spread templates first for review. Once the system is approved, we apply it across the full catalog. You receive review proofs at cover stage and full catalog stage. Revisions are handled at each review point before the catalog is finalized. This staged review process prevents large revision rounds at the end of the project when all spreads are complete.

03
Step Three

Print and Digital Delivery

Once approved, we prepare the print-ready PDF and the screen-optimized digital PDF. InDesign source files are packaged with all linked images. The full package is delivered under your agency's branding. Your client can send the print file to any commercial printer and distribute the digital file immediately. Nova and More does not appear anywhere in the delivery.

Why Agencies Choose Nova & More

Why agencies trust us with client catalogs

01

Grid system applied consistently

Every catalog is built from a master grid and a defined set of spread templates. The system is established at the start of the project and applied consistently through every page. Individual spreads do not drift from the established style as the page count grows.
02

Print and digital both covered

Every catalog project delivers both a print-ready PDF and a screen-optimized digital PDF. The digital version includes interactive navigation elements built for on-screen reading. Your client does not need a separate brief or a separate project to get both formats.
03

Source files for future editions

InDesign source files are packaged and delivered with every catalog project. When the client needs to update pricing, swap product images, or add new product pages for the next edition, they can do it from the existing source without rebuilding the design from scratch.
04

US and EU print standards

We produce catalog files for print vendors on both sides of the Atlantic. US letter and A4 catalog dimensions, correct bleed sizes, CMYK profiles, and resolution requirements for US and European commercial printers are all covered without a separate adaptation brief.

05

NDA before the brief

A full NDA is signed before any client product data, pricing information, brand assets, or photography is shared with us. Your client’s product range and commercial information stay protected from first contact to final delivery.
06

Invisible in every file

Source files, PDFs, document properties, and delivery documentation are all packaged under your agency’s name. Nova and More does not appear in any file name, embedded metadata, or client-facing material at any point during or after the project.
Common Questions

Everything agencies ask about white label catalog design

What agencies want to know before placing a catalog brief with us.

What is white label catalog design for agencies?
White label catalog design is when a specialist design team creates product catalogs, service guides, and lookbooks on behalf of a digital agency. The finished catalog, including all spreads, covers, and print-ready PDF files, is delivered under the agency’s brand. The end client receives the catalog as work done by the agency and never interacts with Nova and More.
We design product catalogs for retail and wholesale clients, service guide catalogs for B2B clients, and lookbooks for fashion, interiors, and lifestyle brands. All three formats share the same production process: a structured grid system, a cover that sets the tone, consistent product or service spread templates, and print and digital PDF delivery. The content type and page count are confirmed at briefing.
A print catalog is delivered as a PDF with 3mm bleed, crop marks, CMYK color, and 300 DPI embedded images. It is designed to be sent directly to a commercial printer. A digital catalog is a screen-optimized PDF with RGB color, hyperlinked table of contents, interactive bookmarks where required, and file size optimized for email or download. Both are prepared from the same design and delivered together.
Every catalog project delivers a print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks, a screen-optimized PDF for digital distribution, and full source files in Adobe InDesign packaged with all linked images. Source files allow your client to update product information, swap images, or add pages for future editions without starting the design from scratch.

A catalog project timeline depends on the page count. A catalog of 16 to 24 pages takes eight to twelve business days. Larger catalogs of 40 or more pages take twelve to eighteen business days. All timelines are confirmed at scoping before work begins. If a project has a fixed print or distribution deadline, we confirm whether the timeline is achievable before accepting the brief.

No. Every project starts with a full NDA before any client information, product data, or brand materials are shared. All source files, PDFs, and delivery documentation are packaged and named under your agency’s brand. Nova and More does not appear in any file name, embedded metadata, document properties, or client-facing material at any point in the project.
